Presence Leads to Peace

Only in the present moment can we find true peace. So why do we often find ourselves wandering to another thought or place in time?

Wandering is a clue

To what’s ailing you

Stepping out of the present moment, moves us out of wholeness, our power, our most grounded and balanced state. Where we go reveals an imbalance…

Present - Peace

Future - Anxiety

Past - Depression

If you find yourself constantly being drawn to the past, it’s an indicator of unfinished business, something that is repressed or depressed within you. That’s calling out to be recognized, accepted, forgiven, loved, healed or released. Let it surface, thank it and gently explore and allow what’s needed for healing and release.

Sometimes it’s not real, just a belief or an emotionally charged perception of the past. Consider your age, the circumstances and rhetoric around it. Please look at it with compassion and ask what would you like to believe or perceive instead? Be brave, all suppressed emotions, beliefs, experiences and traumas continue to impact your now and future until they are acknowledged and let go.

Future thinking - excessive planning, worrying or strategizing leads to anxiety and stress. It is the mind’s attempt to control the future to feel safe. Deep inside there is some part or age of you that doesn’t feel safe. Maybe look at where or when in your life you didn’t feel safe? Explore what you might need to feel safe? Please soothe, reassure and hold this part of you in love and compassion while you release this experience, event, trauma or belief so you can begin to trust again.

Both past and future thinking lead to contraction. They make us smaller, tighter and more restrictive. Taking us out of the expansion and abundance that is found in present moment.

N         notice = present

O         open, receptive = open heart and mind

W        wide bandwidth = expansive energy

The present moment is where life is happening. Everything else is an illusion or perception of your mind based upon your emotional state of being at that time.  In the present, you are not worrying about anything else. The past is done, and the future isn’t here yet. No sense spending time and energy on illusions. What’s real is now.

Let presence be

A guide

Back to harmony

Presence allows the mind to relax and move into a peaceful state.  Remember your mind wants to keep you safe. It’s always running a program based upon past sensory input. Asking what do I need to adjust or do to feel safe?  Interrupt it by staying in and trusting the present moment. Use the breath, movement or the heart message above until you feel settled in the present.

Peace is found in presence. Your nervous system, body and mind relax while your heart and energy field expand. Joy rises as life becomes richer and fuller. Presence is an expansive state where abundance of life is found.
